When you visit Apostolic Truth Church, you can expect four things:
1. Expect passionate worship There is an idea that a religious service should be subdued and reserved – save passion for sports or hobbies. Apostolic Truth Church (ATC) is a place where praise is partnered with passion.
The contemporary musical instruments include piano, keyboard, drums, bass guitar, and lead guitar. The musical selections are uplifting and powerful. You will discover what it is like to literally feel the divine presence of God during this time. It is not uncommon for worshipers to lift their hands and offer worship demonstratively with all of their heart at ATC.
2. Expect relevant teaching and preaching for all ages. A relevant Christian message has four trademarks:
- Easy to understand.
- Is clearly based on Bible principles.
- Applies to daily life.
- Provides a clear course of action.
Apostolic Truth Church is committed to presenting a relevant message for all ages. The timeless truths of God’s Word are strategically hand-tailored for each age demographic. Our Sunday School program has classes for every age starting from age two. There are added ministries designed for the Jr. High, Sr. High, and College ages.
In the main service, you will discover what it is like to hear anointed preaching and teaching. The ministry of the Word is often inspiring. The preacher’s message is often communicated with passion - the result is inspiring.
Don’t be surprised if you hear members say, “Amen,” during the preaching. It’s all part of the apostolic style of receiving the preached Word of God.
3. Expect to see a passion about meeting needs. At ATC, there are moments in every service designated for people with special prayer needs. At these times, people with physical or spiritual needs are invited to come forward to the altar area for prayer.
The Bible compels us, in James 3:15, to pray for the sick by anointing them with oil and laying hands upon them. Certain members are trained as altar counselors to pray with those in need. It is not uncommon for people to find healing, spiritual strength, and renewal during these times.
4. Expect to see passion about helping people discover how Jesus Christ's death, burial, and resurrection can directly impact their lives. It’s simple. According to Acts 2:38, we are saved from sin by repenting of our sins, being baptized in the Name of Jesus, and being filled with God’s Holy Spirit. Apostolic Truth Church has made this simple message of empowerment a priority.
Every church service at ATC. has a special time when people can obey Acts 2:38. It is very common for the minister to give an Altar Call at the conclusion of his or her message for this very purpose. The Altar Call is a time for visitors and saints alike to gather at the front altar area of the sanctuary to pray and surrender their lives to God. At the Altar Call, people are often encouraged to repent of their sins, be baptized in Jesus Name, and/or be filled with God’s Holy Spirit.
Additionally, Apostolic Truth Church offers Bible Studies that reveal how the power of Jesus Christ can be discovered in their lives – these free Bible Studies are taught in the comfort of the student's home or in the comfort of a meeting room at ATC.
